Hayley is a fantastic communicator, and her replies are always prompt. She explains ideas really well and engages consistently in every session. I would highly recommend her, particularly if you have any English queries. Simran C

I recently had the pleasure of working with Miss Hayley P on Sherpa and I am extremely satisfied with my experience so far. She is a highly skilled and dedicated tutor who has helped me improve my techniques in analyzing poems for my English GCSE this summer. Her deep understanding of poetry analysis and effective teaching methods made complex concepts easy to grasp. I highly recommend her to anyone who is seeking tutoring for English Literature. Lina N

We would recommend Benjamin for tutoring because our daughter has shown improvement and enthusiasm to do Maths now! Her class teacher also praised her for her perseverance and improved attitude to taking on Maths challenges. She likes Benjamin's teaching style and is keen to complete the work set to the best of her ability! Nicola Scrancher Wilks

Benjamin has an open and honest approach with his tutoring, whilst making the lessons fun and engaging for the students. Our daughter looks forward to the lessons each week and the tailored challenges that Benjamin brings outside the classroom. Charlie Braidwood

I just wanted to say once again how grateful we are for your support of Emma and all the kindness that you have shown her. Emma has always looked forward to her lessons with you and found them both fun and engaging. You have made a difference with her approach and confidence to her work and with her overall self-belief. You are a special tutor, and we have been so lucky to have found you. The teenage years are difficult, full of challenges and there is a lot of work involved in A levels. Emma has really valued your input during this part of her life and she is even more focused on her future and determined to find an interesting and fulfilling pathway ahead. Thank you, Frances. Wishing you good health and happiness for 2023. Kind regards Denise. Mrs D Phillips

Francis is a highly productive tutor and got my 12 year-old boy on the right track after tremendous efforts. My son has been learning pretty much within a very short period of time. We hope to come back to him as soon as possible after a break. Mrs Barton

For over a year now, our son has been receiving weekly tuition from Amanda. During this time, we have witnessed his academic achievements and confidence grow from strength to strength. Amanda uniquely can help students flourish and build their confidence in all subjects. We especially admire how Amanda quickly learns what interests our son and will tailor his sessions to gain his interest and confidence with a calm, encouraging, gentle approach. We quickly noticed our son started to enjoy his lessons at school and developed the confidence to contribute more in class. We would have been unable to achieve this without the support and guidance from Amanda. Our son is now in year six and Amanda is able to support him with tutoring into secondary school. We have no hesitation in recommending Amanda to family or friends. Mrs C Storey

We feel incredibly fortunate to have selected Amanda for our 11+ preparation. My son really enjoyed his sessions and made rapid progress under Amanda's tuition. Mr Anderson

Patient with structured approach. Mr Wellappili

My son thoroughly enjoys his lessons with Mrs Johnson and we can really see the progress with his maths. Mrs Johnson is a lovely tutor and tailors the lessons to my son's needs. I would highly recommend her, a very friendly and knowledgeable tutor. Mrs Bassi

Becky has tutored my daughters for three years. She is very intuitive with children and has an excellent ability to communicate and motivate. She is organised and structured but also fluid to help with any concerns the girls have regarding their school work. I reached out to her because they were below where they should be for their age in some topics, which was affecting their confidence. They are now where they should be for their age and above in some subjects, which is evidence of her ability as a teacher. I would highly recommend her. Mrs J

Lisa is brilliant. She plans my son's sessions around his interests, always giving some options to allow him to have autonomy in his learning. I asked him what he thinks of Lisa, and he said he really likes her because she is kind, patient and calm. She has great communication and is always on time, armed with fun resources to engage my hard-to-engage son. We are delighted with the support Lisa has been providing and would absolutely recommend her. Ms Holloway

Lisa is highly prepared and organised. She always brings a bag full of fun ways to help my son with his English. She has a wonder understanding of my sons' needs, who has both ADHD and dyslexia. Lisa is kind and patient. My 9 year old has gone from hating English because I can't do to it being one of his favourite lessons English is fun. I highly recommend Lisa. Miss Hankey

Tina has been a tutor for my 10-year-old daughter for the last nine months and has helped with her preparation for the 11+grammar school exam. Tina was quick to assess my daughter's strengths and weaknesses and identify areas where she needed the most support. She shows incredible kindness and patience when explaining difficult concepts, and my daughter always reported back to me that she explained things clearly in a manner that was easy to understand. Tina tutored my daughter for 1 hour sessions on a weekly basis and was able to cover a lot of material in that time. She did practice questions with her and gave helpful hints and tips about how to answer certain question styles. She also offered help in exam techniques. She has certainly boosted my daughter's confidence which was very much waning when she started! Tina was very flexible with tuition times and was able to offer extra sessions during the school holidays. I would certainly recommend Tina as a tutor for 11+ and hope to use her again in the future. Dr Charlotte Kellaway

During the lockdown period, my husband and I decided to appoint a tutor to work with our young daughter. We chose Tina on the basis of her experience and availability to work with us. Tina was always punctual for our Maths and English lessons, and had prepared worksheets in advance targeting relevant topics to the subject and our daughter's ability. Tina was extremely patient when we had technical issues on our end getting online. During lessons, Tina was very good at encouraging our daughter to try and work things out and was generous with her praise when she did and got things right. Also, Tina wasn't shy of sharing her observations with her if she appeared distracted or wasn't concentrating! At the end of each lesson, Tina gave us headlines on what she had noticed and asked us to focus on particular areas to help her eg more reading. This was extremely helpful for us to gauge her progress. In short, I would recommend Tina and am happy to answer any questions if anyone wants to know more.  Mrs Mandy Walsh

Karen has worked with 2 of my children, adapting her style to work with their individual personalities and strengths/weaknesses. She made lessons enjoyable, whilst also ensuring they focussed, being strict when needed. They both enjoyed her lessons and have made good improvements. Ms Shuai

James is kind and made M feel at ease even though she is quite a nervous student. M liked him and enjoyed her lessons. James found interesting tasks to engage her to encourage her to speak and improve her English. We were very pleased. Mrs Elizabeth

Fiona has been an amazing tutor to our son, he has really been exceeded under her tuition. Mrs Harrison

So pleased to have found Sarah. Sarah is a great tutor who makes maths enjoyable to learn. My daughter enjoys the hour she spends with Sarah. I highly recommend Sarah as a maths tutor. Ms Bridgenorth

Location
Home Tuition: Involves a Key Stage Two tutor coming to your home to provide one-on-one instruction. This offers convenience as you don't need to travel. Online Tuition: This can take place anywhere with an internet connection. Small Group Tuition: Typically with between 2 to 4 children, and often occurs in a physical location such as your home, though it can also be online.

Individual Attention
Home Tuition: Offers the highest level of individual attention, as the Key Stage Two tutor focuses solely on one student. Online Tuition: Still allows for one-to-one attention, but it may be slightly less personal than home tuition due to potential distractions. Small Group Tuition: Offers less individual attention as the Key Stage Two tutor must divide their time and attention among multiple students.

Cost
Home Tuition: This tends to be more expensive because it involves one-on-one teaching, and the Key Stage Two tutor is required to travel to your home. Online Tuition: Often more affordable than home tuition as your Key Stage Two tutor does not need to travel but may still cost more than small group tuition. Small Group Tuition: Generally, this is the most cost-effective option, as the costs are shared among several families.

Flexibility
Home Tuition: Offers flexibility in terms of scheduling and curriculum, as your Key Stage Two tutor will only be working with your child. Online Tuition: Provides flexibility in terms of location and may offer a wider selection of Key Stage Two tutors. Small Group Tuition: Lessons will be more difficult to schedule as lesson times will have to fit in with other families.

Interaction
Home Tuition: Offers in-person interaction, which can be beneficial for students who learn better through face-to-face communication. Online Tuition: Provides interaction through video conferencing tools and chat, which can be engaging but may not suit everyone's learning style. Small Group Tuition: Allows for peer interaction, which can benefit collaborative learning and discussions.

The choice between home, online, or small group Key Stage Two tuition depends on your preferences, budget, and the student's specific educational needs. Each option has advantages and disadvantages, so it's essential to consider these factors when deciding.
