A note from our founder
I have spent my working life in education. As a teacher and headteacher, I saw again and again the difference the right teacher can make, not only to a child’s results, but to their confidence, motivation and belief in themselves.
I also saw how much parents wanted to help their children, but how difficult it could be to know where to turn outside school. The tuition market was growing quickly, but it did not always feel clear, safe or professional.
I wanted to build something more trustworthy; a place where families could find proper teachers.
I believe teachers matter. I believe parents should be able to find qualified, experienced teachers they can trust. I believe children learn best when a teacher understands who they are, what they need and how they learn. I believe excellent tuition is not just help with homework. It is careful diagnosis, clear explanation, confidence-building, structure and progress. And I believe that, with the right teacher, children become happier, more confident and more successful learners.
That belief became Teachers To Your Home, and it still shapes everything we do through Teachers To Your Home and British Teachers today.
