I just wanted to say once again how grateful we are for your support of Emma and all the kindness that you have shown her. Emma has always looked forward to her lessons with you and found them both fun and engaging. You have made a difference with her approach and confidence to her work and with her overall self-belief. You are a special tutor, and we have been so lucky to have found you. The teenage years are difficult, full of challenges and there is a lot of work involved in A levels. Emma has really valued your input during this part of her life and she is even more focused on her future and determined to find an interesting and fulfilling pathway ahead. Thank you, Frances. Wishing you good health and happiness for 2023. Kind regards Denise. Mrs D Phillips

Francis is a highly productive tutor and got my 12 year-old boy on the right track after tremendous efforts. My son has been learning pretty much within a very short period of time. We hope to come back to him as soon as possible after a break. Mrs Barton

She is an incredible teacher and a lovely person. I ALWAYS look forward to my lessons with her! Miss Rose

Thank you very much for teaching me Italian last year . You are an amazing teacher; I had so much fun in lessons. Grazie mille. Rachel Bentham (perse School)

An incredible teacher. Learning Italian from Olga is so much fun, feels relaxed and you learn so much. Not only is Olga so lovely, happy and friendly, she also has great resources, prepared presentations, book recommendations and homework. She's from Rome, and can teach the culture of Italy as well as the language. Genuinely love our lessons. Miss Mcglinchey

Finding the right tutor is hard, it's finding a mix of them having the right skills in the subjects (or multiple subjects) the student needs help with, building a rapor so that your child feels comfortable with them, have a good working relationship and of course so that your child does well and improves in those subjects. Caroline smashed it, my son Kieran enjoys learning with Caroline in both geography and maths, he had improved loads where he has achieved better grades and gone up sets. I definitely recommend Caroline. Mr Bincalar

Caroline is teaching my 15yr old daughter maths. My daughter struggles considerably however Caroline has come in with patience, calm and genuine kindness when teaching her and after just a few lessons we can see an improvement in both my daughters maths skills and her confidence. We are really happy and thankful that Caroline is helping our daughter towards her GCSE's. Mrs James

I have been taking lessons with Carmela for almost a year and feel that I have learned a great deal. Carmela paces the lessons very well, and there is an excellent balance of language learning, including reading and listening comprehension, grammar, writing and speaking. As a native speaker, Carmela is able to discuss the nuances of language use and provides really interesting insights into Italian culture. She constantly challenges me but is also encouraging, especially when I become frustrated with myself! Carmela is happy to focus on particular aspects or topics when appropriate or requested. So, for example, before going to Sardinia with my family last year, we practised useful vocabulary and phrases when ordering in a restaurant. The flexibility and focus of one-to-one lessons mean that progress is much faster and motivation remains high. Carmela is a true linguist and lover of languages and that shines through. I can highly recommend Carmela's teaching. Dr Johnson

I started Italian lessons with Carmela as an adult learner. I need to do an aptitude test for nationality eventually so it was important that I find the right teacher. Carmela has been great- her teaching method is clear and concise. She is always happy to stop and answer the many questions I have even when I go off-piste into something that's not part of the lesson. I particularly appreciate the recap notes of the lesson that she immediately send over after the lesson is done. She also puts homework on google classroom which helps in keeping everything organised. She is also very patient which is very important in a tutor. Having a professional and conscientious tutor makes learning so much easier. I plan on continuing with Carmela for the foreseeable. Mrs Atalla Lochead

We contacted Gabriella 9 months ago for Latin tuition for my 15 year-old daughter. Gabriella responded within 24 hours and we were able to make arrangements to start lessons very quickly. As my daughter was learning Latin at home (and not being taught at school) Gabriella adapted her approach to broaden and enrich my daughter's learning, filling in the gaps and completing the GCSE curriculum. I found Gabriella a real pleasure to communicate with. Her care and consideration for my daughter's GCSE school workload was excellent and realistic, and has resulted in us looking at ways she can take Latin GCSE indecently of school after her GCSEs are completed. My daughter has really enjoyed learning with Gabriella and looked forward to her zoom lesson each week. It was easy to make contact if we needed to rearrange the lesson time, and payment was straightforward. I am really happy to recommend Gabriella wholeheartedly. We feel very lucky to have found her. Mrs Jo Saunders

Gabriella is an excellent teacher. I am enjoying her lessons and learning a lot Mrs Bannister

Marco is a very experienced and encouraging teacher. He is very patient and includes interesting information about Italy and Italian culture. Marco puts you at your ease Mrs Jeffreys

Cecilia is an excellent teacher and I would thoroughly recommend her. She provides interesting subjects for discussion and her lessons are always informative. Mrs Havers

I would like to recommend Concetta as an Italian teacher. I have been having lessons with Concetta for almost 2 years. I really enjoy my lessons, and they are structured around learning grammar, reading and conversation. Concetta is an enthusiastic and encouraging teacher, and I have recently managed to achieve an A* in my GCSE, all with her help. I am now looking forward to increasing my fluency. Hannah Cowling

Concetta is an excellent language teacher, being a native Italian. Her knowledge of English is superb and she is therefore able to make herself easily understood. She can teach Italian as spoken by the Italians. Carol Clark

Tiziana is a personable and engaging teacher who is very knowledgeable in a wide range of languages. She is patient and conscientious and would be a perfect language teacher for those studying at any linguistic level - whether beginner, advanced or in between! Ms Steph Adams

Imogen has been helping my son with German for a good few months. He said Imogen is "amazing" and seems very determined to please her. Imogen is very professional, always well prepared for the lessons and sets high standards without intimidating the student- exactly the kind of tutor I was looking for. My son's aim is to make steady but constant progress and I am really happy she continues to challenge and motivate him. I feel my money is well spent and would strongly recommend her! Mrs C Ichim

Location
Home Tuition: Involves an Italian tutor coming to your home to provide one-on-one instruction. This offers convenience as you don't need to travel. Online Tuition: This can take place anywhere with an internet connection. Small Group Tuition: Typically with between 2 to 4 children, and often occurs in a physical location such as your home, though it can also be online.

Individual Attention
Home Tuition: Offers the highest level of individual attention, as the Italian tutor focuses solely on one student. Online Tuition: Still allows for one-to-one attention, but it may be slightly less personal than home tuition due to potential distractions. Small Group Tuition: Offers less individual attention as the Italian tutor must divide their time and attention among multiple students.

Cost
Home Tuition: This tends to be more expensive because it involves one-on-one teaching, and the Italian tutor is required to travel to your home. Online Tuition: Often more affordable than home tuition as your Italian tutor does not need to travel but may still cost more than small group tuition. Small Group Tuition: Generally, this is the most cost-effective option, as the costs are shared among several families.

Flexibility
Home Tuition: Offers flexibility in terms of scheduling and curriculum, as your Italian tutor will only be working with your child. Online Tuition: Provides flexibility in terms of location and may offer a wider selection of Italian tutors. Small Group Tuition: Lessons will be more difficult to schedule as lesson times will have to fit in with other families.

Interaction
Home Tuition: Offers in-person interaction, which can be beneficial for students who learn better through face-to-face communication. Online Tuition: Provides interaction through video conferencing tools and chat, which can be engaging but may not suit everyone's learning style. Small Group Tuition: Allows for peer interaction, which can benefit collaborative learning and discussions.

The choice between home, online, or small group Italian tuition depends on your preferences, budget, and the student's specific educational needs. Each option has advantages and disadvantages, so it's essential to consider these factors when deciding.
