Tina has been a tutor for my 10-year-old daughter for the last nine months and has helped with her preparation for the 11+grammar school exam. Tina was quick to assess my daughter's strengths and weaknesses and identify areas where she needed the most support. She shows incredible kindness and patience when explaining difficult concepts, and my daughter always reported back to me that she explained things clearly in a manner that was easy to understand. Tina tutored my daughter for 1 hour sessions on a weekly basis and was able to cover a lot of material in that time. She did practice questions with her and gave helpful hints and tips about how to answer certain question styles. She also offered help in exam techniques. She has certainly boosted my daughter's confidence which was very much waning when she started! Tina was very flexible with tuition times and was able to offer extra sessions during the school holidays. I would certainly recommend Tina as a tutor for 11+ and hope to use her again in the future. During the lockdown period, my husband and I decided to appoint a tutor to work with our young daughter. We chose Tina on the basis of her experience and availability to work with us. Tina was always punctual for our Maths and English lessons, and had prepared worksheets in advance targeting relevant topics to the subject and our daughter's ability. Tina was extremely patient when we had technical issues on our end getting online. During lessons, Tina was very good at encouraging our daughter to try and work things out and was generous with her praise when she did and got things right. Also, Tina wasn't shy of sharing her observations with her if she appeared distracted or wasn't concentrating! At the end of each lesson, Tina gave us headlines on what she had noticed and asked us to focus on particular areas to help her eg more reading. This was extremely helpful for us to gauge her progress. In short, I would recommend Tina and am happy to answer any questions if anyone wants to know more.  Mrs Mandy Walsh

Thank you very much for all your help and encouragement with Sam's studies. He has really enjoyed the lessons and they have kept him up to speed. Mrs S

I know it's been so long, but I just thought it was only right to give you the praise you deserve and thank you so much for tutoring and, at one point, lecturing me, lol. Because of you, I'm currently in university studying manufacturing engineering, which you helped and guided me through, and I am truly grateful for our short but worthwhile time together. U O'b

Hello Dallas, this is ****. I just wanted to say thank you for everything. I appreciate all your help, and I will always be grateful because I was at a 3 at the beginning of the year, and you took me up to a 6. Thank you for always pushing me to do my best. I could not have done it without you. Thank you on behalf of me and my mum. Mrs ****

Hi Dallas just to let you know that **** got all 9s for his GCSE in Language and Literature. Thank you for all your hard work with him. Mrs ****

Marion has worked wonders for our two children. Our daughter started tutoring to get her ready for the 11+ Grammar/ Independent School exams. Not only did she receive an offer from Alcester Grammar, she was offered Academic Scholarships for King's High and Princethorpe College. Marion has of course helped her with preparation and knowledge for the exams but more than that, with Marion's kind, encouraging and thorough approach, she gave our daughter confidence in her own ability allowing her to thrive. Our son was also tutored by Marion to prepare him for an entrance exam into Warwick Junior School, and once again Marion worked her magic, making sure there were no holes in his knowledge and preparing him for the exam. We were thrilled to be offered a place there too. We cannot recommend Marion enough, she has been a wonderful academic support to both our children. Fred And Kiri Brookes

We can 100% recommend Marion for both 11+ plus and Independent Schools entrance exam tutoring. Our son started with Marion at the beginning of Year 5 and his vocabulary and Maths knowledge and application came on in leaps and bounds. Marion has an ability to stretch and challenge bright kids and really enthuse them with learning new words and mathematical concepts. Our son was so pleased to have the choice of an academic scholarship from Warwick and a place at KES Stratford (despite being in the outer catchment circle). We have no doubt that Marion's expert tutoring was a vital factor in these two offers. What was more important to us as parents though was that our son loved the sessions - Marion has nurtured and developed a love of learning in an 11 year old boy which is a really rare talent! I was really struggling to find ways to help my son with his science subjects when he was feeling demotivated and lacking in confidence. Paul has managed to create a plan for him over the summer which was engaging, clear and pupil-led. He understood exactly what was needed! Plus the video recordings of each lesson will be invaluable moving forward. Thank you Paul! Amanda Barnes

Paul is an excellent tutor! My daughter is with him for a year. Paul was being referred to us by our guardian as our daughter had lost all her confidence in studying at her previous school. My daughter is not the type of pupil that whoever tutor you give her, she will listen. Finding a suitable tutor whom my daughter is willing to listen is vital important. Paul finds out the school curriculum (even I have no idea) and teaches my daughter. My daughter told me that Paul uses different teaching approaches with different pupils. With Paul, our daughter gets confidence in her studies, she loves Paul's lessons, and she gets academic rewards for previous term and this term! Thank you Paul! Linda Lo

I hired Patricia for tutoring my children, and I'm pleased to share my review. Patricia is pupil-centered and quickly adapted to our needs. She has a strong track record and impressive qualifications. She tailors her teaching to each child's strengths and weaknesses and encourages parental involvement. Her online sessions on Zoom are seamless and enhance the learning experience. I highly recommend her tutoring services to parents looking for effective support for their children's studies. Mr Abdulatif

Claire has been a wonderful 11+ tutor to my daughter for the last two years. She is extremely familiar with the 11+ requirements and has developed a great relationship with my daughter who really enjoys the lessons in both Maths and English. It has provided a lot of support for my daughter at school, and in helping prepare for the 11+ exam. I highly recommend Claire - she is reliable, experienced, supportive and fun! Mrs Carter

Heather you have been amazing with Amy helping her to understand maths and grow in confidence. The change her attitude towards her learning and the fact she looked forward to your lessons was a pleasure to see. Thank you for everything you have done and being part of our journey as a family. We will miss you! Mrs Potter

Karen has been such a huge support to our Daughter over the past year with our online sessions. We recently received our school reports and she has excelled in all the areas that Karen has worked on and more! Not only does our Daughter learn from the sessions, she really enjoys the interactive aspects, and Karen is very much an integral person in her adult friendship/teacher group - which is so important from a confidence perspective. Thank you so much Karen, for your continued support, teaching and patience! Lee Dougan

Location
Home Tuition: Involves a Homeschooling tutor coming to your home to provide one-on-one instruction. This offers convenience as you don't need to travel. Online Tuition: This can take place anywhere with an internet connection. Small Group Tuition: Typically with between 2 to 4 children, and often occurs in a physical location such as your home, though it can also be online.

Individual Attention
Home Tuition: Offers the highest level of individual attention, as the Homeschooling tutor focuses solely on one student. Online Tuition: Still allows for one-to-one attention, but it may be slightly less personal than home tuition due to potential distractions. Small Group Tuition: Offers less individual attention as the Homeschooling tutor must divide their time and attention among multiple students.

Cost
Home Tuition: This tends to be more expensive because it involves one-on-one teaching, and the Homeschooling tutor is required to travel to your home. Online Tuition: Often more affordable than home tuition as your Homeschooling tutor does not need to travel but may still cost more than small group tuition. Small Group Tuition: Generally, this is the most cost-effective option, as the costs are shared among several families.

Flexibility
Home Tuition: Offers flexibility in terms of scheduling and curriculum, as your Homeschooling tutor will only be working with your child. Online Tuition: Provides flexibility in terms of location and may offer a wider selection of Homeschooling tutors. Small Group Tuition: Lessons will be more difficult to schedule as lesson times will have to fit in with other families.

Interaction
Home Tuition: Offers in-person interaction, which can be beneficial for students who learn better through face-to-face communication. Online Tuition: Provides interaction through video conferencing tools and chat, which can be engaging but may not suit everyone's learning style. Small Group Tuition: Allows for peer interaction, which can benefit collaborative learning and discussions.

The choice between home, online, or small group Homeschooling tuition depends on your preferences, budget, and the student's specific educational needs. Each option has advantages and disadvantages, so it's essential to consider these factors when deciding.
