Mrs D Phillips - I just wanted to say once again how grateful we are for your support of Emma and all the kindness that you have shown her. Emma has always looked forward to her lessons with you and found them both fun and engaging. You have made a difference with her approach and confidence to her work and with her overall self-belief. You are a special tutor, and we have been so lucky to have found you. The teenage years are difficult, full of challenges and there is a lot of work involved in A levels. Emma has really valued your input during this part of her life and she is even more focused on her future and determined to find an interesting and fulfilling pathway ahead. Thank you, Frances. Wishing you good health and happiness for 2023. Kind regards Denise.

Mrs Barton - Francis is a highly productive tutor and got my 12 year-old boy on the right track after tremendous efforts. My son has been learning pretty much within a very short period of time. We hope to come back to him as soon as possible after a break.

Miss Bowen - Colin has been such a wonderful tutor over the past several months. He has really helped our son improve upon his Economics skills for his forthcoming A-Level examinations. Colin has been accommodating and flexible with timings. He genuinely wants our son to do well in Economics. We would not hesitate to recommend Colin 100% and thank him for all of his invaluable input and knowledge in the hours spent tutoring our son.

Mrs Hiney - I began lessons with Sabine to build my confidence with speaking French and help with preparation for my A Level French, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! Sabine was my French tutor for just over 9 months and from the very first lesson, she not only helped me gain confidence in speaking French, but also tailored every lesson to focus on exactly what I needed to improve. Her adaptability, dedication, and the wealth of resources she provided made each lesson invaluable and she consistently went above and beyond to ensure I understood and progressed. I looked forward to her lessons every week which was especially important with all the stress of year 13 and this was thanks to her kind and humorous nature! One of the things I valued most was her commitment to going beyond vocabulary and grammar. She wove in French culture, idiomatic expressions, and exam-focused strategies that enriched my language learning experience further. I am deeply grateful for everything she has done to help me prepare for my A Level with confidence as well as being a genuinely lovely person! I would highly recommend Sabine to anyone looking for enjoyable French lessons with a patient, enthusiastic teacher.

Eve Owen - Sabine tutored me in the lead up my French A Level exam. She listened to what I felt needed to be improved and our lessons were tailored to my areas for improvement, such as grammar, which I feel improved greatly in accuracy amd confidence due to her. We were able to to cover all aspects of the A Level course, with Sabine being able to provide lots of relevant and up-to-date knowledge that helps set apart students. Overall, I was able to achieve my dream A Level grade thanks to her help.

Mrs Armstrong - Hi Phyllis, Just to let you know that Amy got an A * in French with full marks for speaking. So she got her Cambridge place. Thanks so much again for all your help. It gave her so much more confidence having had very few opportunities to speak French.

Mrs Endler - Thanks so much for your help with German It was her highest mark at A level She's really enjoyed her sessions and there's no doubt it had a huge impact.

Lucy Thorpe - This was a super Spanish lesson! An engaging set of activities that moved along at a good pace whilst scaffolding the less able learners and challenging the most able.

Mrs Jenny Elliott - Fiona is utterly professional in every respect and I have no reservation in recommending Fiona to you.

Mrs Costa - We have been fortunate to have Hasna as our child's online French tutor for the past several months. Hasna has a remarkable ability to make language learning fun, engaging, and tailored specifically for young learners. She also possesses a talent for connecting with my child. She is friendly, creative and positive Hasna is not only focused on language proficiency but also on fostering a genuine interest in French culture. Our child has developed an appreciation for the language beyond vocabulary; thank you, Hasna.

Astrid - Abi was my Intermediate Spanish tutor, and her approach was impeccable. She covered all basesâ€"speaking, listening, writing, and readingâ€"while giving me control over our lesson content, which I found immensely beneficial. Abi's encouragement and personalized resources were invaluable, making each session both effective and enjoyable. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking a supportive and knowledgeable tutor for Spanish or any language learning journey.

Lily - Abi is a fantastic tutor, really helpful and supportive and she has a lovely teaching style. She helped me successfully prepare for my A-levels in both French and Spanish, focusing on helping me in the areas where I needed to improve on. This definitely helped me get the grades I needed to secure a place at my first choice University studying Modern languages. Abi also provided further tuition to help me prepare for University. I would definitely recommend her and will be going to her again to help with my studies at University.

Mrs Annandale - The best decision as my 13 year old now looks forward to his French lessons. Aurelie is a perfect match and it's such a pleasure to listen to him speak French so confidently. We highly recommend her.

Mrs Roe - Aurelie is an excellent teacher who uses a number of different methods to make learning fun and interactive. My 11 year old son is really enjoying her lessons. I would highly recommend Aurelie as a tutor.

Claudia F. - Caroline taught my daughter during the school year 2022/2023 to prepare her for her German GCSE. This took place during the school day as an extra-curricular activity in the format of 1:1 tutoring. Caroline was highly effective in adapting the curriculum to the limited time available (one year of teaching instead of two years, one lesson per week instead of multiple lessons). She motivated and supported my daughter with exam preparations by working with her strengths and focusing on specific improvement areas, e.g. by providing specific revision materials. Further, she arranged lessons and mock exams around my daughters' availability and even offered ad hoc support for questions during exam preparation periods during the school holidays. I appreciated that Caroline was always available for parent catch-up calls, and she kept in touch proactively through emails. She clearly has a great passion for her subject and is an effective teacher - my daughter very much enjoyed being taught by Caroline and was delighted to achieve a grade of 9.

Location
Online Tuition: Involves an A-Level French tutor on the platform of your choice to provide one-on-one instruction. This offers convenience as you don't need to travel. This can take place anywhere with an internet connection. Small Group Tuition: Typically with between 2 to 4 children, and often occurs in a physical location such as your home, though it can also be online.

Individual Attention
Online Tuition: Allows for one-to-one attention, but it may be slightly less personal than home tuition due to potential distractions. Small Group Tuition: Offers less individual attention as the A-Level French tutor must divide their time and attention among multiple students.

Cost
Online Tuition: Often more affordable than home tuition as your A-Level French tutor does not need to travel but may still cost more than small group tuition. Small Group Tuition: Generally, this is the most cost-effective option, as the costs are shared among several families.

Flexibility
Online Tuition: Provides flexibility in terms of location and may offer a wider selection of A-Level French tutors. Small Group Tuition: Lessons will be more difficult to schedule as lesson times will have to fit in with other families.

Interaction
Online Tuition: Provides interaction through video conferencing tools and chat, which can be engaging but may not suit everyone's learning style. Small Group Tuition: Allows for peer interaction, which can benefit collaborative learning and discussions.

The choice between online, or small group A-Level French tuition depends on your preferences, budget, and the student's specific educational needs. Each option has advantages and disadvantages, so it's essential to consider these factors when deciding.
