Mr Killick was one of the most influential, engaging and supportive teachers I ever had at school. In Year 8 I hated geography with a passion due to previous teachers' styles, but after then being taught by Mr Killick, I went on to do GCSE and A Level geography. After suffering long-lasting illness during my AS year, I received a disappointing exam result but Mr Killick was there within minutes of me opening my results envelope with a full plan of how to get me back up to speed for my retake. Finding the right tutor is hard, it's finding a mix of them having the right skills in the subjects (or multiple subjects) the student needs help with, building a rapor so that your child feels comfortable with them, have a good working relationship and of course so that your child does well and improves in those subjects. Caroline smashed it, my son Kieran enjoys learning with Caroline in both geography and maths, he had improved loads where he has achieved better grades and gone up sets. Caroline is teaching my 15yr old daughter maths. My daughter struggles considerably however Caroline has come in with patience, calm and genuine kindness when teaching her and after just a few lessons we can see an improvement in both my daughters maths skills and her confidence. Mr Blake is an excellent tutor. We hired him to help improve our son's A-level geography exam technique. My son says that he is very knowledgable, provides good resources and is a nice guy. After a few sessions, my son has a clearer understanding of what is required to get full marks. Amazing at abstracting and decomposing complex ideas within geography and I am truly grateful, I would say Mr Moss has been one of the best teachers I've had in years of trying to get a good geography tutor. In my personal experience he has done more in a couple months than what teachers and school could do in years! In December of year 1 A-level, our daughter told us she was struggling. We hired Joel. In six months, she has gone from a grade U in December to a grade C in June, and is now determined to achieve a grade A. It's been transformative!
