Mrs Maria Quantrill - My daughter enjoys her lessons with Mrs Blaseby and finds her style of teaching engaging. She has acquired a depth of knowledge about the Tudors which will stand her in good stead for her A level and we are delighted with her progress.

Mrs Rose - Excellent Teacher. Helped my daughter immensely, by getting her ready and prepared for her A level Classics exams. My daughter was much more confident going into her exam. Thank you ☺️

Mrs Milbourn - Excellent teacher who supported our daughter through her English Literature A Level through flexible distance learning. Would rexommend.

Mrs Pascoe - My daughter found the lesson she had with her very useful, many thanks

Dr Yates - Lynda has been my Latin tutor for about 2 years. To begin with I was studying Latin out of interest but Lynda encouraged me to aim for a GCSE which I am pleased to say, with her help, I achieved this summer getting a high grade, despite being well into my seventies! Lynda is an excellent tutor. She has a life-time's experience both as a teacher and examiner in classics. She makes learning Latin interesting while at the same time laying the foundations for a good qualification. Revd Dr Yates

Mr Wright - Lynda is an absolute gem. Her knowledge is phenomenal, both in literature and in language. Her ability to scan is something I have never seen before. I came to Lynda a few months before my OCR A Level Latin exam due to help needed because of teacher changes in year 13 and health issues. Lynda quickly understood my situation and provided me with invaluable advice about exam technique, due to the fact that Lynda is an examiner and has been one since 1997. Her advice on studying methods was very precious as well. Lynda was extremely approachable and was able to help with last-minute answers even days before my exams! Moreover she was very friendly and made me laugh and always cheered me up when I started to stress. I really enjoyed my lessons with her, which we did as video calls. They were the best thing about my A-Level Latin revision!

Hajra Batul - Sue tutored me in Year 13 for English, History and Classics. I was challenged to go beyond my school target and I was given an offer from Cambridge University. Sue is a very encouraging teacher but she also gave me chance to progress.

Antonella B - Sue taught my daughter GCSE English and her grade improved from 6 to 9. She also had help with her Politics A level. The following year my son did some intensive revision with Sue before the English exams. He understood the paper and the questions better and he was less nervous. I recommend Sue as an excellent tutor.

Ms Yoda - James was excellent with my son, who had begun to struggle with Level 2 Latin. He has a strong command of the subject and a clear understanding of what is required for Common Entrance preparation. His teaching style is methodical, structured, and easy to follow, which has made a real difference to my son's confidence and progress. I would highly recommend him.

Mrs Ward - Excellent tutor. Very patient and helpful.

Justine - Totally on the ball! My son actually looks forward to his session, and Michelle leaves session feedback straight away-couldn't fault this amazing tutor! Michelle understood my son's needs immediately and every lesson is packed and worthwhile.100% recommended Thanks Michelle.

Safiya - Very lovely tutor, goes in-depth about all topics and is quick to fix concerns.

Mrs S Pearson - Roger is a very experienced and diligent tutor with exceptional language ability. Passionate about his subjects, committed to trust and rapport with the student.

Mrs A Harrison - Roger genuinely cared about my son's progress and inspired him to strive for excellence. He achieved a top grade in Latin. We cannot thank him enough.

Mrs Devlin - Lucy has been tutoring my 2 boys for over a year now and we have seen fantastic improvements in both the subject and their confidence. She is friendly, extremely knowledgeable and my boys love her varied lessons. I would highly recommend Lucy.

Josh - I remember everything Lucy tells me and everything just makes sense. She's the best English teacher I ever had and the one who inspired me to take English at Uni!

Kate Bland - Catherine has been tutoring our son, who is aged 17. She has been professional throughout, encouraging independent thinking, learning and self-motivation. She has excellent communication skills and is very reliable and approachable.

Mr Morris - Evie was a great guide in helping our son with his GCSE History. She got to know what methods helped him understand the content best and then planned her tutoring to match that which meant he was always engaged. She helped get him a grade higher than his expected school target, very happy.

Location
Online Tuition: Involves a Classics tutor on the platform of your choice to provide one-on-one instruction. This offers convenience as you don't need to travel. This can take place anywhere with an internet connection. Small Group Tuition: Typically with between 2 to 4 children, and often occurs in a physical location such as your home, though it can also be online.

Individual Attention
Online Tuition: Allows for one-to-one attention, but it may be slightly less personal than home tuition due to potential distractions. Small Group Tuition: Offers less individual attention as the Classics tutor must divide their time and attention among multiple students.

Cost
Online Tuition: Often more affordable than home tuition as your Classics tutor does not need to travel but may still cost more than small group tuition. Small Group Tuition: Generally, this is the most cost-effective option, as the costs are shared among several families.

Flexibility
Online Tuition: Provides flexibility in terms of location and may offer a wider selection of Classics tutors. Small Group Tuition: Lessons will be more difficult to schedule as lesson times will have to fit in with other families.

Interaction
Online Tuition: Provides interaction through video conferencing tools and chat, which can be engaging but may not suit everyone's learning style. Small Group Tuition: Allows for peer interaction, which can benefit collaborative learning and discussions.

The choice between online, or small group Classics tuition depends on your preferences, budget, and the student's specific educational needs. Each option has advantages and disadvantages, so it's essential to consider these factors when deciding.
